We are recruiting for our client who is a market leader sales company, as they are looking to recruit for a Website Support Technician.

Generally clients will be non-technical and the role will involve liaising with customers as well as their previous providers to set the websites we build live as well as migrating email and helping customers with their preferred email devices. An ability to relay technical information regarding websites, emails and hosting to all parties in an understandable and helpful manner is essential. The role involves using DNS, Wordpress and Cpanel and requires a broad range of knowledge or experience of email across both desktop and mobile devices. Fast and efficient technical support will have to be provided throughout the transfer process as well as ongoing general helpdesk style support resolving any issues around web and email that any customer may have.
The ideal candidate will have experience in technical support, preferably involving websites / website hosting / email management. The candidate must be organised and capable of following documentation to the letter with no mistakes, and able to juggle the workload of dealing with a number of transfers at once.
It is crucial that you have knowledge or experience of domain names and DNS as relates to websites. You would need to understand DNS records and how they resolve to return websites and email and be able to discuss this at interview.
This is a full time role based in Belfast with an annual salary of £25,000

Hours of work
Monday – Friday 09.30 – 5.30pm.
Duties and responsibilities will include;
Liaising with customers and third parties for domain and email hosting transfers
Dealing with support issues for client email and domains
Troubleshooting a variety of IT-related queries and resolving user issues
Installation of new websites
Provision of day-to-day support and maintenance of WordPress installations
Providing IT support to our Web Design team and clients for their domain names, email and websites
Configuring and managing email on a range of software and devices
Experience transferring domains from host to host
Understanding or experience of domain names and email mailbox configurations (moving emails from host to host as well as troubleshooting issues with email and domains)
Good telephone manner and the ability to deal directly with clients by telephone
Good organisational skills and ability to create instructions and documentation
A related qualification (Desirable)
An understanding of web development (HTML, CSS) is an advantage
Experience of website content management systems such as WordPress
