Donard Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a market leading, locally owned food manufacturer at their state-of-the-art facility in County Down.

The successful Health & Safety Manager will be joining one of the provinces top employers which has a strong track record of continually producing award winning products and has an extensive customer base across the UK and EU.

Health & Safety Manager Criteria:

• NEBOSH qualified
• 3+ years’ experience as a H&S Manager in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience carrying out near miss investigations, formalising H&S policies and procedures
• Professional, organised approach to work and investigations with strong communication skills and ability to work on own initiative
• Self-starter attitude with a desire to work as part of a collective team to achieve success

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe working environment and investigate near miss incidents
• Continually review and promote all company H&S policies and ensure open lines of communication across the company
• Complete risk assessments and method statements for all work equipment and operations
• Ensure all essential H&S practices are carried out including fire drills & safety inspections
• Manage all claims and liaise with relevant 3^rd party insurers
• Help to ensure that facility is compliant to maintain BRC and ISO accreditations

In return the successful Health & Safety Manager will receive a very competitive salary and benefits package including with a generous company pension scheme.

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000
