Donard recruitment are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Executive to join an established, family owned commercial equipment provider at their office in Belfast.

As a Customer Services Executive, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional standards of service to both prospective and current customers, involving the sale and servicing of commercial catering and refrigeration equipment for one of the leading companies in Northern Ireland in this sector.  In line with the company’s core values, the focus of the business is on achieving consistently high levels of customer satisfaction, using a process orientated approach.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role involves receiving orders and service job requests via telephone and email, the sourcing parts from suppliers and preparing daily job schedules with associated documentation for the Service team.  Additionally, you will provide customers with regular updates regarding order or job status, ensuring deadlines are met and customer service standards maintained.  The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of customer needs, with the ability to complete tasks effectively and efficiently while working under pressure and displaying a professional manner at all times.


A summary of key responsibilities is as follows:

  • Receiving and processing customer orders and service job requests via telephone and email
  • Dealing with customer queries effectively via telephone and email
  • Pro-actively updating customers on open jobs
  • Supporting the Service team in the planning and organisation of service and PPM jobs
  • Assisting the Sales Manager in the pricing of jobs, equipment and parts
  • Liaising with suppliers in the ordering of parts and equipment
  • Identifying ways to further improve the existing service offering


Skills required for the role are as follows:

  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (including Maths and English) at ‘C’ or above
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast paced customer services environment
  • IT proficient in Word, Excel, internet and email
  • Commercial acumen to maximise profitability when ordering parts and equipment
  • Highly customer focused, with a professional approach displayed at all times
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Able to work independently and on own initiative
  • Presentable, with highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task whilst retaining excellent attention to detail at all times
  • Pro-active, highly organised and having an awareness of all Service Desk activities
